OU/AU/CRAU/OC: OU
Age: Tulip is 13, and MT is Tulip's reflection so... probably 13? Or for the roster, ƐƖ
World Information: Tulip is from a version of a normal Earth, except that sometimes people get kidnapped by an
infinite train that tries to solve their issues. MT was Tulip's reflection all through her time in the real world, but was released out of reflections through the Infinity Train. It's stated that all reflections in this setting are their own person, and there's even some sort of governing body in the mirror world (or at least police force,) so you could consider the mirror world its own setting maybe.
Personal History: MT is the reflection of Tulip Olsen. Every time Tulip is reflected in a mirror, or on any other reflective surface, that was MT on the other side of the reflection. All reflections spend their entire lives reflecting the actions of their primes, and MT was no exception... until Tulip made it onboard the Infinity Train.
Wikia explains everything that happens from there.
Personality: MT, or Mirror Tulip, is
defined by being the reflection of her "prime," Tulip Olsen. However, she's grown to hate that life - she desires nothing more than to escape being somebody's reflection, to go off on her own and become her own person. And so, despite having existed for the sole purpose of reflecting Tulip and her life, MT defines
herself by being her own person - in other words, by being a distinct entity from Tulip. After escaping from the mirror, every action she's taken has been to distance herself from Tulip and from her former life as Tulip's reflection.
In line with this, she
hates anybody insinuating that she isn't her own person. Naturally, this goes for people comparing her to Tulip or calling her something relating to Tulip (i.e. Tulip's reflection, "rare foil version of Tulip.") But it also applies to people who see her as only a member of some group and not as a distinct entity, such as when she's called a "sliver" (rogue reflection,) denizen (Infinity Train resident,) or "null" (person aboard the Infinity Train without a number.) She is her own person, and she wants to be treated as such the entire time.
In terms of people not thinking of her as being her own person, MT can't stand that, and will make her displeasure known loudly and possibly physically. But besides that, she mostly doesn't care what other people think of her. She doesn't particularly care if she's seen as a "good" or "bad" person, or whether or not people like her. She doesn't feel a need to fit in with any groups, either - that isn't to say she can't or won't work with other people, when she needs to. That's something she actually takes pride in, since her prime, Tulip, was notorious for never asking for help no matter what. It's just that she doesn't go out of her way to involve herself with other people, and walking away always remains a perfectly valid option for her.
Because of this, she can come off as callous or uncaring. But the truth is, MT is still a good person at heart. She doesn't care what people think of
her, but she cares if people are getting hurt or suffering, or if they're in real danger. And she can't stand to see unfairness in play in the world, because she's lived that, and doesn't want anybody else to. And if she makes friends, she stands by them and fights for them. She still cares and has a heart.
It's just that she cares for herself, too. She looks out for herself, and while others might write it off as being selfish, it's more that she just. Thinks she deserves the same as other people. She's led a life where she had nothing - only reflecting somebody else's life - and the instant she took a single step out of that role, she's had people chasing her, trying to
kill her for daring to do something for herself. She sees the massive unfairness in that, and believes she doesn't deserve to suffer just for wanting what everybody else has.
With all of that in mind, it can definitely be said that one of MT's biggest sticking points is that everybody should have freedom, and be able to make their
own choices. She doesn't like people being robbed of their agency (she even yells at a dude for naming a
deer, since the deer can't consent to it.) Due to her past, she sees everybody having personal freedom to be the bare minimum of human decency. If anything robs a person of that, it's wrong, end of story.
It can be surmised from all of this that MT has... a
lot of issues. Her past was messy, and her present is also messy. She took a big plunge to try and get freedom, and has in every moment since been on the run for her life. People tell her left and right that she isn't her own person, that she's less than nothing, and she keeps fighting for her right to be seen as
herself. She doesn't get to rest, to unwind, to talk to a therapist, and so her issues keep piling up, growing larger, and all the while her stress is also growing.
In short, please get this girl a therapist, and also let her off the train.
Key themes: Being One's Own Person: MT's main issue, and main motivation, is in proving that she is her own distinct person. That she has her own identity, separate from anybody else's. She's not a reflection of Tulip, and she's not simply a member of some faceless group like a sliver or a denizen or a null, she is Herself.
Personal Freedom: Because she grew up in the most oppressive environment imaginable (reflect another person's every action or die,) she has EXTREMELY strong feelings about personal choices and freedom. Namely that everybody deserves to be free and make their own choices, so long as it's not infringing on anybody else's.
Main Motivation: To get off the train and finally live her own life freely
Skills:Metal Body: MT's body is made of chrome. It's highly polished and reflective, and is as hard and heavy as real metal, despite her being able to move. Because of this, she is much harder to injure than a normal human, although it's possible that she doesn't heal like a normal human either. Also, the additional weight and hardness means that she hits a lot harder than a normal human as well, although it's not at a superhuman level - simply a result of physics applying to her weight and momentum.
Being a Surly Teen: This is a skill right??
Item: She needs to be attached to a mirror to exist in the real world, so she has a mirror broken off of a pocket knife attached to her that comes with for free.
Her one item from home is a video tape labeled "JESSE COSAY 2"

hereNotes: MT is the name I'll use in narration, probably, because she hasn't chosen a real name for herself, and MT is how she asked to be referred to until she comes up with a name. But because she doesn't HAVE a name and doesn't consider MT to
be her name (it's just a convenient stand-in, and it literally stands for Mirror Tulip ANYWAY,) I ask that her name on the roster be "Tulip's Reflection".
